Bahaushiya News Academy Launches 6-Month Online Internship Program for Northern Nigerian Youth


Bahaushiya News Academy, the training arm of Bahaushiya News Media Group, has officially announced the launch of its 6-month Online Media and Journalism Internship Program, designed to empower young media talents across Northern Nigeria with practical newsroom skills, ethical journalism foundations, and digital media competence.

The internship will run fully online, providing flexible access to participants from all 19 Northern states. The program will admit 5 interns per state, while Kano State receives 10 slots, making a total of 105 participants for this cohort.

The internship is unpaid, but will include full mentorship, hands-on newsroom simulation, assessments, and capacity-building workshops. At the end of the program, successful participants will receive a verified Certificate of Completion, a performance report, and top-performing interns will qualify for recommendation letters and potential recruitment opportunities within Bahaushiya News Media Group.

Eligibility

The program is open to:

  • Youth aged 16 to 35
  • Residents of Northern Nigeria
