Breaking News: Nigerian Troops Neutralize Notorious Bandit, Boderi Isyaku
In a significant breakthrough, Nigerian troops engaged in a fierce gun battle with Boderi Isyaku, a notorious bandit, insurgent, and ruthless killer, along with his fighters in the Bada/Riyawa areas of Chikun and Igabi LGAs. The operation resulted in the elimination of Boderi and some of his associates, marking a pivotal moment in the fight against banditry and terrorism in Nigeria.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the operation's success, heralding it as a major victory for Nigeria's security forces. Boderi, notorious for terrorizing Kaduna and neighboring Niger State for nearly a decade, propagated fear and violence through brutal attacks, mass abductions, and relentless killings.
The operation, coordinated by Major General VU Okoro, General Officer Commanding, 1 Division, Nigerian Army, and Force Commander, Operation Whirl Punch, showcased meticulous planning and intelligence gathering. Despite the terrorists' fortified position, the troops executed a successful ambush, cornering Boderi and his associates.
In the ensuing confrontation, Boderi and his cohorts opted to resist the troops, leading to a fierce firefight. Ultimately, the troops prevailed, putting an end to Boderi's reign of terror with a barrage of bullets. The operation yielded two AK47 rifles, 300 rounds of ammunition, nine AK47 magazines, one magazine carrier, one Baofeng radio set, and five motorcycles.
Boderi's demise is a significant milestone in the ongoing battle against terrorism and banditry, showcasing the effectiveness of determined and coordinated efforts by security forces. His activities, which included high-profile kidnappings and deadly attacks, inflicted untold suffering on countless victims and posed a formidable challenge to law enforcement agencies.
